You can’t go anywhere without hearing about the Kardashians. O.J. Simpson and Nicole Brown were known to Khloe, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian as “Uncle O.J.” and “Aunt Nicole.” O.J. and Robert were best friends, as wereKris and Nicole. O.J. And their two children, Sydney and Justin, were friends with the girls. The families often went on vacation together and had Easter egg hunts every year. In Kris Kardashian’s book, Kris Jenner… and All Thing Kardashian, Kris explains that Nicole told her multiple times, “[O.J.] going to kill me, and he’s going to get away with it,” which was tragically accurate. Kendall Jenner was born shortly after the trial and her middle name is Nicole, after Nicole Brown.

Robert Kardashian was one part of O.J. Simpson’s infamous “Dream Team” defending him in the murder “Trial of the Century,” including Johnnie Cochran, Alan Dershowitz, F. Lee Bailey and Robert Shapiro. The trial thrust Robert’s name and the rest of the Kardashians into the spotlight for the first time, but certainly not the last. The only attorney from the “Dream Team” still practicing is Robert Shapiro. Robert Kardashian died in 2003 from esophageal cancer. He was only 59 years old.

In February 2007, the Kardashian name was once again thrust into the spotlight, when singer Brandy’s younger brother, Ray J leaked a 2003 sex tape featuring him and Kim Kardashian released by Vivid, as Kim Kardashian Superstar. In April of the same year, Kim Kardashian sued Vivid Entertainment for ownership of the tape. She eventually dropped the suit and settled out of court for $5 million. Rumors involving the sex tape have swirled around ever since, including a rumor that Kris orchestrated the entire thing so the Kardashians could become famous.
7. Kim and Paris Hilton Used To Be Besties

Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton used to be best friends. She once said on Entertainment Tonight, “I made Kim Kardashian, her whole family owes me life.” Well, not exactly, but Hilton certainly boosted Kim’s carrer when she was Hilton’s stylist in real life and on Hilton’s infamous reality show, The Simple Life. In the earlier days of both of their careers, the two celebutantes dressed alike and were often photographed wearing the same exact outfits. Kim was also very good friends with another one of Paris Hilton’s former best friends, Nicole Richie. Most people think Kim has only been married twice. Once to Kris Humphries and most recently, to Kanye West. But, many people forget Kim was actually married to music producer Damon Thomas, from 2000-2004. Thomas was famous for producing musical acts such as Pink and Faith Evans. Kim was 20 and Damon was 30 at the time they were married. Unlike the glamour and spectacle of her second and third weddings, Kim’s first wedding was a quickie in Las Vegas. The marriage was a disaster and there have been allegations of Thomas being physically and emotionally abusive to Kim, such as telling her she needed to get liposuction. Thomas hasn’t said too much about his former wife, except for telling People magazine, she is a “compulsive shopper.” He’s probably right.
4. Keeping Up With The Kardashians Wasn’t The Family’s First Foray Into Reality TV

The Kardashians have had multiple reality shows including Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and its spinoffs Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Khloe & Lamar and the upcoming Kourtney and Khloe Take The Hamptons andDASH Dolls. But before these shows, Kim was on The Simple Life and Kourtney was on an E! network show called, Filthy Rich Cattle Drive. This show starred Kourtney, Courtenay Semel, Brittny Gastineau and several other children of famous parents. Brody Jenner(Bruce Jenner’s son), while not technically a Kardashian, was also on several reality shows including Princes of Malibu and The Hills.
3. Khloe Hates Her Late Father’s Third Wife

All of the Kardashian sisters reportedly hate their late father’s third wife, Ellen, who married him just before he died from cancer. This is what happened- Ellen spoke out saying she found her late husband’s diaries and said some not so nice things about Kris Kardashian to In Touch magazine in 2013. Kris Kardashian and Revered Brad Johnson, co-founded the LifeChange Community Church in Calabasas, which is now known as the California Community Church. We all know reality shows are fake, but there is a huge aspect of Keeping Up With The Kardashians that is really, really, fake – the Jenner house. The house used on the show is not where Bruce and Kris Jenner actually live. And for security purposes, the home shown in the exterior shots of the show isn’t where they live, or shoot interior scenes either. However, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney’s houses are real- at least for interior shots.
